Description: This course will cover basic rigging hardware and rigging practices. Topics to be covered will include wire rope construction, hardware inspection for serviceability, knot tying and splicing, sling configurations and calculations for sling tension. Session will include hands-on rigging practice with a hydraulic crane using hand signals and voice commands with a two-way radio.
A three hour test is required at the completion of this course and requires a passing grade to receive UBC qualification card.
